12.38Level 12 — triplet feeling inside 3/4

This sounds strange conceptually because 3/4 already has three beats.

But each quarter can itself subdivide into triplets.

So you can have:

3 beats × 3 subdivisions = 9 eighth-note-triplet units per bar.

Do not confuse:

triple meter

with

triplet subdivision.
