Suppose you take “Happy Birthday.”
You can now make a modal minor version.
Keep the melody recognizable.
Put C pedal underneath.
Convert major intervals as necessary into C minor.
Use:
Aeolian first.
Introduce Phrygian ♭2 as a dramatic color.
Avoid V-I initially.
Then near the final phrase:
use G7♭9 → Cm.
Suddenly the simple birthday melody becomes something dark and cinematic.
That is exactly the transformation ability we have been building.
