A dominant resolves a fifth down:

F♯7 → B

B♭7 → E♭

D7 → G.

These three dominant-tonic pairs are extraordinarily important here.

Memorize them as units:

F♯7 → Bmaj7

B♭7 → E♭maj7

D7 → Gmaj7
