Do not become dependent on:
1 bass / 2 chord / 3 bass / 4 chord
as though the pattern were a law.
Learn it so thoroughly that you can:
- omit
- anticipate
- walk
- fill
- suspend
- stop
- restart
without losing the two-beat identity.
That's actual stride fluency.
