73.97Mini-composition exercise
Write three 8-bar sections:
A — major swing.
B — minor/modal.
C — straight-eighth funk or bossa.
Create two different transitions:
A→B
Must be smooth.
Requirements:
- one common tone
- one chromatic inner-line move
- no silence
B→C
Must be dramatic.
Requirements:
- stop-time or full rest
- new groove begins clearly
- one motif from B reappears in C
Do not use more than two connector chords at either boundary.
The transitions should feel designed rather than decorated.
