81.111Polychords and voice leading
Even the most dissonant polychord can sound inevitable if:
its arrival is prepared
and its voices resolve convincingly.
Example:
D♭ major over C
→ C major:
D♭→C
F→E
A♭→G.
The ear understands the motion.
