Jazz often enriches the 12-bar blues substantially.

A common direction might include:

C7 | F7 | C7 | Gm7 C7 | F7 | F#°7 | C7/G A7 | Dm7 G7 | etc.

There are many versions.

The important point:

jazz blues keeps the 12-bar identity but adds ii–V, diminished, substitutions, and turnarounds.
