The ending should usually be reliable.
Not necessarily identical note-for-note.
But know:
- where it begins
- how long tag may last
- what cadence ends it
- what final tonic/register you want
- whether ending is hard, soft, unresolved, or humorous
Never discover the ending accidentally.
