But you can strengthen other destinations.

Before Dm:

use:

A7 → Dm

Instead of Am7 staying purely minor, you could briefly turn it into A7 where melody allows.

Then:

C♯ → D

creates stronger pull.

Use carefully because you are altering the original character.
