17.12Level 4 — isolate every secondary dominant

Make a list of the tune’s temporary dominants.

For each one, write:

  • dominant chord
  • destination
  • altered 3rd
  • resolution note

For example:

E7 → Am G♯ → A

A7 → Dm C♯ → D

D7 → G F♯ → G

This is excellent practice.
