42.1Do not begin with five equal beats

You can count:

1 2 3 4 5

and technically be correct.

But that is usually not the easiest way to feel the groove.

Instead group five as:

3 + 2

or:

2 + 3.

For example:

ONE two three | FOUR five

Now you have two large rhythmic units.
