This is an excellent transformation exercise because the original tune naturally suggests ordinary symmetrical phrasing.

Force it into 5/4.

Do not simply add an extra beat to every bar.

Instead reshape the phrases.

Intro

5/4 bass ostinato.

Phrase 1

melody adapted into clear 3+2.

Phrase 2

same melody more syncopated.

Phrase 3

climax with three-beat motif displacement.

Final phrase

return to obvious 3+2.

Ending

5-beat tag → tonic.

The melody remains recognizable, but its rhythmic architecture becomes entirely new.
