14.41Diminished scale preview

A fully diminished chord divides the octave symmetrically.

There is also a symmetrical diminished scale alternating:

whole step – half step

or:

half step – whole step

depending on the application.

We do not need that yet.

For now, chord tones and chromatic resolution are far more important.
