Play diminished seventh chords randomly.

Instead of trying to identify:

“That's C♯°7!”

ask first:

Does this sound suspended/unstable?

Then resolve it upward by semitone from one chord member.

Your ear will begin associating diminished sound with multiple possible resolutions.
