Suppose you encounter:
Gm7 → C7 → Fmaj7
That is:
ii–V–I in F
Easy.
Then suddenly:
Fm7 → B♭7 → E♭maj7
That is:
ii–V–I in E♭
Still easy individually.
The difficulty comes when several of these destinations appear rapidly and are far apart.
