16.9Chromatic passing tones

You are not limited to the scale.

Suppose target:

A → B

A → B

You can play:

A → B♭ → B

A → B♭ → B

or:

A → A♯ → B

A → A♯ → B

Same piano key for B♭/A♯, different spelling depending on function.

Chromatic notes are fine when they have direction.
