17.32Crushing/sliding notes on piano

A common blues/gospel piano gesture:

briefly play E♭ and E together or almost together, resolving toward E.

Similarly:

F♯ → G

or:

B♭ → B

These gestures are very pianistic.

Use them as ornaments, not as constant decoration.
