21.42Don't use your strongest cadence too early

If every two bars ends:

G7 → C

the piece may constantly feel finished.

You may instead:

• use deceptive cadence
• end on V
• use vi
• delay tonic
• use inversion

Save the strongest arrival for where you want it.
