We’ll separate them:

Intro

What happens before the melody starts.

Fill

What happens in the gaps between melody phrases.

Turnaround

A short progression that brings you back to the beginning or next phrase.

Transition

A device that connects sections, keys, textures, or energy levels.

Ending

How you signal that the music is actually finished.

These are related, but they do different jobs.
