3.31A useful progression to memorize

Play:

Am | Dm | G | C | F | B° | E7 | Am

This progression walks through much of the minor-key harmonic family.

You may recognize the descending-fifths character.

Roman numerals:

i – iv – VII – III – VI – ii° – V7 – i

i → iv → VII → III → VI → ii° → V7 → i

Don't worry about memorizing that numeral sequence yet.

Just listen to how the harmony keeps moving toward the eventual E7 → Am resolution.
