5.18Chord targeting beats “one blues scale”
You can play C blues scale over the entire form.
That works.
But a stronger player hears the chord changes.
When bar 5 arrives:
target A or E♭.
When bar 9 arrives:
target B or F.
That makes the harmony audible in your solo.
