11.43Turn a simple progression into ii–V motion

Original:

C → F

Instead of moving directly:

C → F

insert the ii–V of F:

Gm7 → C7 → F

So:

C → Gm7 → C7 → F

You have temporarily tonicized F.

This is a basic reharmonization technique.
