32.103Mini-composition exercise

Write 12 bars.

Rules:

• no more than four distinct RH chord shapes
• bass must create at least half of the harmonic change
• one pedal must last at least three bars
• one melody note must remain unchanged across three harmonies
• one sus sonority must never resolve
• one sus sonority must eventually convert to a conventional dominant

This forces you to control ambiguity versus function deliberately.
