32.107The broader lesson

Much of sophisticated harmony that initially looks theoretically intimidating becomes much simpler when you separate it into:

bass + familiar upper shape.

A chord like:

D♭/E♭

looks unusual.

At the keyboard it is simply:

E♭ in LH + D♭ major in RH.

And suddenly you can transpose it anywhere.

That is practical theory.
