12.12A beautiful chain
Now combine them:
C → E7 → Am → A7 → Dm → G7 → C
This is one of the progressions I want firmly under your fingers.
Analyze it:
C = I
E7 = V7/vi
Am = vi
A7 = V7/ii
Dm = ii
G7 = V7
C = I
So:
I → V7/vi → vi → V7/ii → ii → V7 → I
It sounds far richer than:
C → Am → Dm → G7 → C
but the underlying destination path is similar.
